Heute ist der 1. Advent und ich habe es die letzten Tage nicht geschafft, mein Haus weihnachtlich zu schmücken. Jetzt aber dalli dalli.
Wenigstens habe ich gestern einen Adventskranz gekauft. Der steht schon mal auf der Kommode, neben allerlei unweihnachtlichem Krimskrams, den ich schnell entferne. Mein Sohn hilft natürlich gerne mit. Ich schicke ihn hinauf in den Speicher, um die beiden Schachteln mit der Weihnachtsdeko zu holen.
„Mama, da sind keine Weihnachtsschachteln!“ kommt er gleich darauf wieder zurück. „Unmöglich!“ Ich renne hoch. Tatsächlich. Unter den zahlenreichen Schachteln, die nach dem Umzug endlich – meiner Mutter sei Dank! – ordentlich aufeinander gestapelt in einer Reihe stehen, sind keine Weihnachtsschachteln zu finden.
Die Zeit drängt. Ich habe noch ein Drehbuch zu überarbeiten, aber bevor nicht dekoriert ist, will ich nicht anfangen. Im Keller finden wir sie schließlich: Die verschollenen Weihnachtskisten.
Wir tragen sie hoch und beginnen die lustigen Weihnachtsmänner, glitzernden Sterne und die kleinen Engelchen in der Wohnung zu verteilen. Elias stellt seine vor Jahren selbst gebastelte Krippe auf und zieht die Spieluhr auf: „Stille Nacht“ erklingt und wir fühlen uns sofort weihnachtlich.
Es gibt bei uns kein farbliches Motto. Weihnachtsdekoration in unserem Haus ist ein kunterbuntes weihnachtliches Sammelsurium aus vielen Jahren. Erinnerungen hängen daran und machen das Schmücken jetzt zu etwas Kostbarem. Es geht nicht um Dekoration, des geht um ein besonderes Gefühl.
Kater Fleck schaut neugierig zu. Er freut sich sichtlich darauf, die kleinen Figürchen in den Nächten herunter zu schubsen. Einige davon werden es leider nicht überleben.
Jetzt noch überall Kerzen verteilen und an die Haustüre den Weihnachtskranz gehängt. Ein wenig Tannengrün in eine Vase und Anhängerchen dran und schließlich haben wir es geschafft.
Glücklich schauen wir uns um in unserem gemütlichen, jetzt weihnachtlichem Häuschen und zünden die erste Kerze an…
